But in my opinion, the biggest difference is that in the real world, it’s okay (and sometimes even good) to disobey your English teacher. If you disobey your maths teacher in the real world, you’re going to end up getting things wrong. Even if civilization collapses, and the English language has a complete overhaul, 2+2 will still be four. Maths is objective, eternal, and universal.īut a big key difference between Maths and English is that what your maths teacher tells you will always be correct, no matter who you’re talking to, or what kind of society we end up becoming.
